SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State freshman swimmer Cayden Christianson was named the Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while South Dakota earned themselves three honors with Taylor Rau (Women’s Swimmer), Hudson Wilkerson (Men’s Diver) and Stella Fairbanks (Women’s Diver), league officials announced on Tuesday.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Taylor Rau, South Dakota
So. | Maple Grove, Minn.
• Captured three induvial first-place finishes at the Coyote Invite
• Won the 100 Breast in a season-best time of 1:05.57, won the 200 Breast in a season and career-best time of 2:23.25 that moved her into seventh on the Coyote Top 10 all-time list
• Also won the 100 IM in a season-best time of 1:00.82 and finished second in the 50 Free in a season-best time of 24.22
• Captured her first career swimmer of the week honor

Men’s Swimmer of the Week

• Recorded a pair of school records at the Coyote Invite in the 100 IM and 200 IM
• Took over as SDSU’s all-time leader in the 200 IM with a first-place mark of 1:50.45 to break a nine-year record
• Also took over as SDSU’s 100 IM leader, clocking in a first-place time of 51.67 and place first in the 200 Free with a time of 1:41.96
• Earned his first career swimmer of the week award

Women’s Diver of the Week

• Swept the diving competitions at the Coyote Invite
• Won the 1-meter dive with a 249.85 and recorded a score of 273.35 in the 3-meter dive
• Recorded fifth weekly accolade of the season
Men’s Diver of the Week
Hudson Wilkerson, South Dakota
Jr. | Powell, Wyo.
• Swept the diving competitions during the Coyote Invite, posting season bests on each board
• Scored a 280.20 on the 1-meter board and a 284.95 on the 3-meter board
• This is the sixth Summit League weekly honor for Wilkerson
