SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha shortstop Emily Klosterman was named the #SummitSB Player of the Week, while South Dakota State freshman pitcher Grace Glanzer received her second Pitcher of the Week honors of the season, league officials announced Monday.
Klosterman hit an impressive .643 at the plate over five games last week, going 9-for-14 overall with five RBI, two doubles, one triple and posted a .929 slugging percentage. The Omaha, Neb., native recorded the game-winning RBI in game two of the series against Western Illinois and went 2-for-2 in the contest. She also went 3-for-3 in the third game of the series with a two RBI, one double and scored a run.
Glanzer won her seventh consecutive decision, pitching a complete-game effort in a 7-1 victory in the doubleheader opener against North Dakota. She allowed one run on three hits and did not walk a single batter while striking out five Leathernecks. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native improved to 12-2 on the season and helped the Jackrabbits recorded its 15
th win a row, setting a new program record.
