Hilbrenner, Glanzer earn final #SummitSB weekly honors

Kansas City’s Hibrenner and SDSU’s Glanzer earn softball weekly awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City outfielder Kloe Hilbrenner and South Dakota State pitcher Grace Glanzer were named the season’s final #SummitSB Players of the Week following stellar performances, league officials announced Monday.

Hilbrenner finished the weekend with a .615 batting average (8-for-13) with two home runs, three RBI, two runs scored and seven stolen bases. The Bates City, Mo., native recorded at least one hit in all four games against North Dakota and she tallied a 1.077 slugging percentage. In game two of the series, Hilbrenner went 3-for-3 and belted a home run and stole an impressive four bases.

Glanzer closed the regular season with two shutout wins on the weekend against North Dakota State as the Jackrabbits swept the Bison. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in her first appearance before finishing with a complete-game one-hitter. Glanzer started her second game and worked five shutout innings, allowing only three hits. In all, Glanzer threw 12 innings, allowed no runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.
