SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the fifth time this season and the first time by Omaha, a pair of teammates swept the weekly awards as Lexi Burkhardt received the Player of the Week honor and Kamryn Meyer earned the Pitcher of the Week award, league officials announced Monday.

Burkhardt hit .500 (6-for-12) over four games against Kansas City, hitting two home runs and two doubles. The Gretna, Neb., native recorded seven RBI and recorded a 1.167 slugging percentage. Her weekend was highlighted by belting two home runs in game two of the series and her second one was a go-ahead grand slam.

Meyer finished the weekend with a 0.78 ERA, going 2-0 against Kansas City. The Wilton, Iowa native was dominant in her first win of the weekend, tossing a complete-game 1-0 12-inning shutout win, tying her career-high with 13 strikeouts. Meyer also pitched in the final games of the series, throwing six innings of work with seven strikeouts. She finished the weekend with two earned runs allowed in 18 innings.
