SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second-consecutive week, a pair of first-time winners earned Ticket Smarter Summit League Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards, league officials announced Monday. Denver sophomore Lukas Fisher collected the offensive award, while Oral Roberts junior Josselyn Petel claimed the defensive honor.

Fisher scored the first two points of his career, assisting on a goal in both of Denver’s victories last week. In the 1-0 victory over Evansville, his corner kick in the 41^st minute led to Trevor Wright’s game-winning goal.

The Portland native played a role in both goals during the Pioneers’ 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton. On DU’s first goal of the match, his free kick from 20 yards was headed in by Ronan Wynne in the 33^rd minute and just over five minutes later, his corner kick could not be cleared and A.J. Francois gathered the loose ball and scored the eventual game-winner on a blast from outside the box.
 
Petel anchored an ORU defense that posted back-to-back shutouts in victories at Incarnate Word and Houston Baptist, extending the squad’s winning streak to five straight.
 
The French native also assisted on both goals in the 2-0 victory over the Huskies. Petel and the Golden Eagles’ defense surrendered just six shots on goal in the Lone Star State sweep and now has recorded three-consecutive shutouts.
