The most impressive showing over the weekend came in Minnesota, when St. Thomas earned a 4-0 home victory over Omaha to stay alive for a bye to the semifinals.
The Tommies, who were held scoreless for over a month leading into Saturday’s contest, got a pair of goals from Oliver Corris in the 21st and 23rd minute to lead UST. They sit in a tie for third place with the Minutemen, who earned a 1-0 victory over the Tommies on Oct. 17 to secure the tiebreaker.
Delaware and Oral Roberts met in the other conference match this past weekend, playing to a 2-2 draw. Emre Aydin opened the scoring for ORU, netting a goal in the 15th minute before a Mikey Johnson counter in the 20th minute evened the scoring.
