SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas wrapped up their regular season by sweeping the TicketSmarter Summit League Swimmers of the Week, while Denver swept the Diver of the Week accolades, league officials announced on Tuesday. UST’s Joe Rudd and Skyler Leverenz received the men’s and women’s swimmer of the week after their performances against Milwaukee, while DU’s Jon Brouillette and Zora Opalka collected the men’s and women’s diver of the week awards, respectively, at the Air Force Diving Invite.

Rudd notched a pair of top-two finishes in St. Thomas’ final regular season match of the season at Milwaukee. The Duluth, Minn., native finished third among all competitors in points by recording a first-place performance in the 100 breast with a time of 58.97. Additionally, Rudd finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 1:58.63.

Leverenz picked up the Tommies’ lone individual first-place showing on the women’s side against the Panthers. The Lakeville, Minn., native recorded a 200 IM time of 2:11.55 and placed second in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:39.72.

Brouillette notched three scores of 260 and higher in the 1-meter at the Air Force Diving Invite, having scored 271.75. The North Platte, Neb., native also scored a 271.75 in the 3-meter and 178.70 in the platform.

Opalka recorded back-to-back Women’s Diver of the Week honors as the Bainbridge Island, Wash., native set a new program record in the platform dive with a time of 205.95 at the Air Force Diving Invite. She also scored a 260.85 in the 3-meter and 208.50 in the 1-meter.
