SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City designated player Delainey Fenoglio and Omaha pitcher Kamryn Meyer collected the TicketSmarter Summit League Player and Pitcher of the Week accolades, league officials announced on Monday.
Fenoglio led the Roos to a pair of wins and competed this past weekend at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The Tonganoxie, Kan., native batted .524 (11-for-21) with a .857 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage. She belted a pair of home runs, collected a duo of three-hit games and hit two home runs on the week. Fenoglio drove in the go-ahead run in the victory against Missouri State and drove in eight RBI on the weekend.
Meyer appeared in five games for the Mavericks and the junior hurler tallied 44 strikeouts including three double-figure outings. She posted a 3-1 record with a save over the five games. Her three wins were complete-game performances, and all were shutouts. The Wilton, Iowa native struck out 14 batters and only gave up three hits against Georgetown. Meyer tallied 12 strikeouts against Central Arkansas in a 1-0 win giving up two hits and struck out 10 more against Georgia Southern in a 3-0 victory.
