SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City senior catcher Alexis D’Ambrosio and South Dakota State pitcher Grace Glanzer secured the final TicketSmarter Summit League Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively, league officials announced on Monday.
 
D'Ambrosio made the most out of the regular season finale, helping the Roos sweep South Dakota at home. The Palatine, Ill., native went 7-for-11 at the plate (.636) with eight RBI and five runs scored. D’Ambrosio opened the weekend going 3-for-4 with two singles and a double and drove in a trio of runs while also scoring two more.
 
In the second game of the series, she belted a go-ahead three-run home run to putting the Roos up three runs. In the series finale, D’Ambrosio went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. In total, the senior catcher slugged 1.000 and had an on-base percentage of .636 while. Behind the plate, she had nine putouts, two assists and caught a runner stealing.
 
Glanzer guided the Jackrabbits to a three-game home sweep of North Dakota to end the regular season and their second straight regular season title. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native started two games for SDSU, picking up a pair of wins. In her first appearance in the circle, Glanzer picked up a complete-game seven-inning shutout giving up six hits and only one walk while striking out for.
 
Her second appearance saw her pitch the first four innings of the series finale and allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out a pair of batters for her 19^th win of the season.
