SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Lindenwood, South Dakota and South Dakota State earned the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s and Women’s Peak Swimmers and Divers of the Week awards, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Elliott Irwin of Lindenwood earned the Men’s Peak Swimmer of the Week, while USD’s Taylor Buhr collected the Women’s Peak Swimmer of the Week.
On the diving side, SDSU’s Reece Reid claimed the Men’s Peak Diver of the Week, while Samantha Mersnick captured the Women’s Peak Diver of the Week.

Men’s Peak Swimmer of the Week
Elliott Irwin, Lindenwood

- Was a part of four first place finishes in the season-opening meet against Missouri State
- Captured individual wins in the 50 freestyle (20.71), 100 butterfly (48.65), 200 freestyle (1:22.53) and 200 Medley Relay (1:31.55)
- Swam the second leg (30.13 split) on a winning 200 Medley Relay team
- This is the third career peak performer award for Irwin

- Won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.06), 200 breaststroke (2:23.42) and 200 IM (2:10.44)
- Swam the second leg (30.13 split) on a winning 200 Medley Relay team
- This is the second peak performer honor for Buhr

- Finished third in the one-meter dive with a score of 191.25
- This is her first peak diver of the week award of his career

Women’s Peak Diver of the Week
Samantha Mersnick, South Dakota

- Led Coyote divers during their dual with Minnesota State
- Placed second in the three-meter dive with a score of 225.65 and an exhibition score of 230.35 in the one-meter board
- This is her first peak diver of the week accolade of her career
