Omaha sweeps TicketSmarter #SummitSD weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.Omaha swept the TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Peak Swimmers and Divers of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Kyle Kulow claimed his first Men’s Peak Swimmer of the Week honor, while Payton Easley earned her second Women’s Peak Swimmer of the Week accolade of the season and third of her career.
 
Sara Mayer of USD earned her first career Women’s Peak Swimmer of the Week, while teammate Kayla Middaugh garnered the Women’s Peak Diver of the Week.
 
Ian Blackstock garnered the Men’s Peak Diver of the Week for the third time in his career, whule Darby Drake received her seventh career Women’s Peak Diver of the Week nod.

Men’s Peak Swimmer of the Week
Kyle Kulow, Omaha
Fr. | Sugar Land, Texas
  • Broke the school record in the 200 free (1:38.84) and 500 free (4:36.67) at the A3 Invitational, which leads the league
  • Swam in the 400 Free Relay with a 45.39 split
  • This is the first career peak performer award for Kulow
Also nominated: Cole Baker (Southern Indiana).

Women’s Peak Swimmer of the Week
Payton Easley, Omaha
Jr. | Lee’s Summit, Mo.
  • Split the fastest 50 free in the league with a 22.58 and went on to win the individual 50 free with a league-best time of 23.33
  • Won the 100 free with a school record tie of 50.27, which ranks her with the top time in the league by almost two seconds
  • Finished her weekend leading the 400 Free Relay that claimed first place with a school record time of 3:24.08
  • This is the third career peak performer accolade for Easley

Men’s Peak Diver of the Week
Ian Blackstock, Omaha
Jr. | East China, Mich.
  • Claimed first in the 1-meter with a score of 272.45
  • Also claimed first in the 3-meter with a winning score of 288.20
  • This is the third peak diver of the week honor of his career
Also nominated: Donnevun Banks (Southern Indiana).
 
Women’s Peak Diver of the Week
Darby Drake, Omaha
Sr. | Traverse City, Mich.
  • Scored a 239.9 in the 1-meter dive at the A3 Invitational
  • Also notched a 3-meter score of 252.10
  • This is the seventh career peak diver of the week honor for Drake
