NDSU’s Aguilar-Beaucage, Omaha’s Meyer Vargas receive TicketSmarter #SummitSB weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State shortstop Anjolee Aguilar-Beaucage and Omaha pitcher Kamryn Meyer Vargas collected the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Softball Peak Performer and Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively, league officials announced on Monday.
 
Aguilar-Beaucage hit .417 over the weekend in the Blues City Classic where the Bison went 3-1 overall. The Tucson, Ariz., native hit .417 overall with three home runs, eight RBI and scored six runs in four games. She tallied three hits, including two home runs in a win over Memphis and the game prior against SIUE, she belted another home run. In total, Aguilar-Beaucage finished with a 1.167 slugging percentage and a .533 on-base percentage.
 
Meyer made two appearances for the Mavericks and tossed 13.1 innings of work with 20 strikeouts. The Wilton, Iowa native began her weekend by posting 6.1 innings with nine strikeouts against Central Arkansas. Her next outing was stellar, as the senior pitched a complete-game seven inning shutout with 11 strikeouts and only gave up two hits.
