SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver completed a home sweep against BYU and Wyoming and by doing so, garnered the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Swimmers and Divers of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Kieran Watson and Jessica Maeda received their first and sixth Peak Swimmers of the Week of their careers, respectively, after helping the Pioneers captured a combined six wins.
 
On the diving side, Zyad Morsy and Kaelyn Hinesley earned the Peak Divers of the Week after multiple NCAA Zone Cut scores.

Men’s Peak Swimmer of the Week
Kieran Watson, Denver
Jr. | Mercer Island, Wash.

• Won the 500 free against BYU and Wyoming with an El Pomar Natatorium record of 4:26.75, breaking the previous record by 1.48 seconds
• Completed the distance race sweep over BYU and Wyoming with a victory in the 1000 free, clocking in at 9:18.35
• Finished fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.68
• This is the first career peak performer award for Watson

Women’s Peak Swimmer of the Week
Jessica Maeda, Denver
Jr. | Tigard, Ore.

• Part of the victorious 200 Medley Relay (1:40.56) and 400 Medley Relay (3:42.17) against BYU and Wyoming
• Won the 200 breast with an El Pomar Natatorium record time and NCAA B Standard of 2:12.78, breaking the time of former NCAA Champion Kierra Smith of Minnesota by 0.44 seconds
• Placed first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.52 and finished third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.64, defeating all of BYU’s swimmers in the dual
• This is the sixth career peak performer accolade for Maeda

• Won the 1-meter dive (358.05) in Denver’s double dual win over BYU and Wyoming
• Placed first in the 3-meter dive by more than 100 points, scoring 379.50
• All of his dives were NCAA Zone Cuts
• This is the sixth peak diver of the week honor of his career

• Finished second with an NCAA Zone Cut 1-meter (267.30) to help Denver to double-dual wins over Wyoming and BYU
• Finished fourth in the 3-meter (270.45), including taking first in the dual over the Cougars to aid the Pioneers in that victory
• This is the second career peak diver of the week award for Hinesley
