SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second week in a row, Denver and South Dakota State garnered League Swimming and Diving Peak Performer of the Week accolades, League officials released Tuesday.
This week’s honors are the first of the season for Denver’s Brandon Chapman, Kaitlin Calvery and South Dakota State’s Gigi Hioki. It is the third consecutive for the DU diver Zyad Morsey.

MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Brandon Chapman, Denver
Sr | Fly | Port Elizabeth, South Africa
- Collected his third career weekly award, first of the season
- Won the 200 fly with a league-leading time of 1:51.20 (1:50.00 altitude adjusted)
- Swam a leg in the 200 medley relay that finished second with a time of 1:31.96
- Took runner-up in the 100 fly with a time of 49.99 (49.89 altitude adjusted)
- Led Denver to a dual win over Air Force

MEN’S PEAK DIVER OF THE WEEK

- Earned his 10th career weekly honor, third consecutive this season
- Won the 3-meter dive with a score of 354.30
- Took the 1-meter dive with a score of 371.93
- Both scores lead the league and were NCAA Zone Diving cuts, fourth and fifth this season
- Helped DU to a dual win over Air Force

- Capture her first career weekly award
- Highest league finisher in all three of her races at the tri-dual against Minnesota and St. Thomas
- Took third overall in the 200 free (1:52.69) and 500 free (5:09.64)
- Was fifth overall in the 100 free with a time of 52.51
- Anchored the 400 free relay that finished fifth with a time of 3:32.54

- Captured the 3-meter dive with a score of 310.95
- Her winning scores earned her her first NCAA Zone cuts of the season in both events
- Guided the Pioneers to a dual win over Air Force
