SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Tommies swept the latest Summit League Swimming and Diving Peak Performer accolades, League officials announced Tuesday.
 
This week’s honors are the second for senior Alex Foti and first career awards for sophomores Austin Kantor, Sophia Hayes and Hattie Opdahl.

MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Alex Foti, St. Thomas
Sr | Free | Waukesha, Wis.

• Collected his second career weekly award
• Notched three top-three finishes in the dual against St. Cloud State
• Achieved UST top 10 finishes in both his individual races
• Won the 1000 free with a season-best time of 9:41.02, ranking sixth in the league
• Finished second in the 500 free with a time of 4:41.02, coming in at seventh among the league
• Was a member of the 400 free relay team that took third (3:06.49)

MEN’S PEAK DIVER OF THE WEEK
Austin Kantor, St. Thomas
So | Dive | Elk River, Minn.

• Earned his first career weekly honor
• Took second in the 1-meter with a score of 252.30, six points behind the first-place finisher
• Finished runner-up on the 3-meter with a score of 236.30

WOMEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Sophia Hayes, St. Thomas
So | Free | Naperville, Ill.

• Capture her first career weekly accolade
• Led UST to a 189-11 win over St. Cloud State
• Moved up UST’s top 10 list with wins in both the 200 (1:52.98) and 500 (5:03.13) free
• Both her winning times were personal best performances and rank sixth (200) and fourth (500) in the league
• Swam a leg of the 400 free relay that took third overall (3:36.54)

WOMEN’S PEAK DIVER OF THE WEEK
Hattie Opdahl, St. Thomas
So | Dive | Lindstrom, Minn.

• Earned her first career weekly award
• Helped pace the Tommies to a win over St. Cloud State
• Swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter six-dive competitions
• Won the 1-meter with a season-best score of 253.80, over 30 points more than runner-up
• Took the 3-meter with a score of 231.50
