SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Omaha Mavericks and the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles earned this week’s Summit League Swimming and Diving Peak Performer accolades, League officials unveiled Tuesday.
The latest awards mark the third of the season for Omaha’s Stefan Varga, second career honor for Southern Indiana’s Lane Pollock and Omaha’s Hailey Matthews and the first for USI’s Anna Bunnell.

MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Stefan Varga, Omaha

- Collected his third career weekly award of the season
- Captured top times among the League in the 100 back (prelims - 47.96) 50 back (22.19) and 200 back (1:46.92) at the A3 Performance Invite
- His times in the 200 back and 100 back broke the Omaha program records
- Took second in both the 100 back (48.06) and the 200 back (1:46.92)
- Swam legs of the 200 free relay (2nd – 1:21.35), 400 medley relay (2nd – 3:16.33), 200 medley relay (2nd – 1:29.01) and 400 free relay (2nd – 2:58.40)

- Earned his second career weekly honor, first of the season

- Finished fifth overall in the 3-meter dive with a score of 258.50
- Took third overall in the 1-meter with a score of 250.90
- Turned in prelim scores of 252.05 for the 1-meter and 247.20 in the 3-meter

- Posted top times in the league in the 500 free (4:53.95), 200 back (1:59.82) and 100 back (54.80) at the A3 Performance Invite
- Her time of 54.80 in the 100 back broke an Omaha school record
- Placed in the top three in the 500 free (1st – 4:53.95), 200 free (2nd – 1:50.06) and 200 back (3rd - 1:59.82)
- Swam legs in the 400 medley relay (2nd – 3:46.31), 200 medley relay (2nd – 1:43.23) and 400 free relay (2nd – 3:23.29)
