SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver and South Dakota State were represented in this week’s Summit League Swimming and Diving Peak Performer awards League officials unveiled Tuesday.
With the latest honors, Denver’s Zyad Morsy earned his league-record-tying 12
th career honor while South Dakota State’s Anna Mei Castro captured her second. It was the first career award for DU’s Joseph Hancock and Mina Ada Solaker.

MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Joseph Hancock, Denver

- Collected his first career weekly award of the season
- At the Minnesota Invite, helped the Pios to a fourth-place finish that included a field of swimmers from Cal, Minnesota, Harvard, Rutgers and UNLV
- Posted the league’s fastest 1650 free time (15:07.52) to take second place out of 16 swimmers
- His runner-up finishing time was an NCAA B-Standard time and ranks fourth on Denver’s all-time list
- Clocked the league’s second-fastest 500 free time in the prelims touching the wall in 4:23.65
- Swam the 200 free in a time of 1:41.44, which ranks 12th among the league in the event

- Finished third in the platform dive with an NCAA Zone Cut score of 354.65
- Took fourth in the 3-meter dive with an NCAA Zone Cut final score of 358.85
- Placed fourth in the 1-meter dive with an NCAA Zone Cut score of 312.55

- Captured her first career weekly accolade
- At the Minnesota Invite, helped the Pios to a fourth-place finish that included a field of swimmers from Cal, Minnesota, Harvard, Rutgers and UNLV
- Clocked the top times among the League in the 400 IM (4:15.32), 200 back (1:58.26) and 200 IM (2:02.32)
- Her 400 IM time earned her sixth place in a field of 24 swimmers and was an NCAA B-Standard
- The 400 IM time and the 200 back time rank sixth and tenth on Denver’s all-time lists, respectively
