SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Denver Pioneers and the Omaha Mavericks captured the latest Summit League Swimming and Diving Peak Performer awards League officials announced Tuesday.
 
Today’s award is the second of the season for Omaha’s Hailey Matthews and Ava Snyder while it is the first career honor for Denver’s Connor Hughes.

MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Connor Hughes, Denver
Jr | Distance Free | Cary, N.C.

• Collected his first career weekly award of the season
• Led Denver to a second-place team finish at the 2024 CSCAA Open Water Championships, finishing ahead of two Power Four teams
• Took fourth in a field of 61 Division I male competitors in the 5K open water race with a time of 1:01.16.68
• Finished seventh out of all men in the race, two spots out of qualifying for the USA Swimming 5K Open Water National Championships

WOMEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

• Captured her third career weekly accolade, second of the season
• Won two of her individual events at Nebraska
• Captured the 200 free event title in a time of 1:53.19
• Took the 100 back individual title with a time of 57.95
• Was a member of the 200 medley relay that took second in a time of 1:45.78
