SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City's Lexy Smith and South Dakota State's Tori Kniesche garnered the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively, League officials announced Monday.
 
Smith went 5-for-9 (.556) with two RBI, two runs scored, one double and one home run in three games against South Dakota. The Wentzville, Mo., native went 2-for-3 in game one and followed that up with another 2-for-3 effort where she belted the go-ahead two-run home run in the sixth inning.
 
The junior connected on a double in game three of the series to help the Roos secure the series victory. In total, Smith recorded a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage.
 
Kniesche threw the 10^th no-hitter of her career and third in her last four appearances in a 9-0 five-inning win against North Dakota. The Wayne, Neb., native struck out 10 batters on just 62 pitches.
 
The senior opened the week by pitching a complete game seven inning shutout where she struck out 14 Fighting Hawks on four hits allowed. Her 16 Peak Pitcher of the Week accolades is tied for the second most in league history.
