Men’s Tennis - April 20

Pioneers finish regular season undefeated

The Denver men’s tennis team entered the 2024 NCAA Tournament as the only remaining unbeaten team at 23-0 after securing 21 straight wins during the regular season and adding two more at the Summit League Championship.

Women's Tennis - April 20

Denver women’s tennis streak continues

Denver captured its 10th consecutive Summit League Tournament crown with a 4-0 win against South Dakota. The win over the Coyotes pushed as the Pioneers’ streak to 59 consecutive wins over Summit League teams since joining the League prior to the 2013-14 academic year.

Women’s Golf - April 23

Pioneers capture fifth straight #SummitWGF title

Denver continued its dominance as it reeled off its fifth straight Summit League Women’s Golf Championship title and set the team scoring record for the second straight year under head coach Martha Richards. The Pioneers pulled away from the pack and closed out the 54-event with a final round score of 275 (-13) to finish with a tournament record 850 (-14) total. Denver has won nine of the last 10 titles.

Men’s Golf - April 30

Record-breaking Roos capture second straight #SummitMGF title

Kansas City won its second straight Summit League Men’s Golf Championship title and fourth overall in record-setting fashion at the Covered Bridge Golf Course, finishing with a tournament record of 833 (-31). Sophomore Mesa Falleur captured Championship MVP honors after matching the low round of the final day with a 67 (-5). KC, under the guidance of J.W. VanDenBorn, set the team scoring mark and became the first team since Denver (2021-22) to claim back-to-back titles.

Softball - May 9

Omaha’s Kamryn Meyer breaks tournament and career strikeout record

Omaha’s Kamryn Meyer struck out a tournament record 21 batters over 14 innings in a 1-0 victory against Kansas City in the quarterfinals of the #SummitSB Championship. Meyer also became the Summit League’s all-time career strikeout leader in the win, passing NDSU's Whitney Johnson's record of 994 career strikeouts.

Outdoor Track & Field - May 11

Again! Bison crowned #SummitOTF champions

For the 14th time since joining the League, the North Dakota State Bison walked away with both Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship titles. The NDSU women claimed their 15th crown in the last 16 years while the men extended their League record by capturing their 14th consecutive outdoor trophy.

Softball - May 11

Omaha wins second straight Summit League softball tournament title

For the second straight season, Omaha captured the Summit League Championship title by defeating South Dakota State twice on the final day of the event. Kamryn Meyer earned her second straight Championship MVP honors after striking out a combined 43 batters during the tournament.

Softball - May 17-18

Omaha captures two victories in NCAA Tournament 

Making just the program’s second NCAA Softball Tournament appearance, Omaha reached the Columbia Regional final after upsetting No. 7 Missouri 3-1 in a nine-inning thriller in the opening game and taking down No. 2 seed Washington 3-2 in game three.

Baseball - May 18

St. Thomas baseball team captures first Summit League regular season title in school history

St. Thomas won the program's first regular season title with a 7-5 win over Oral Roberts on the final day of the regular season. The Tommies finished off the regular season with a 16-10 record against Summit foes, holding off Omaha to earn the university's first regular season title in any sport as a Summit League member.

Women's Tennis - May 22

Pioneers ranked No. 57 in final ITA rankings

Denver concluded their season by being ranked No. 57 in the final ITA Computerized Rankings. 

Men's Tennis - May 22

Pioneers ranked No. 44 in final ITA rankings

Denver concluded their season by being ranked No. 44 in the final ITA Computerized Rankings. 

Outdoor Track & Field - May 22-25

Eight #SummitOTF athletes punch tickets to Eugene for NCAA Outdoor Championships

Eight student-athletes from three institutions represented the Summit League at the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The eight athletes include five making return trips to the finals. North Dakota State’s Matt Kraft (men’s javelin) joined four Coyotes in making repeat appearances. The quartet of South Dakota participants include Marshall Faurot (men’s pole vault), Eerik Haamer (men’s pole vault), Gen Hirata (women’s pole vault) and Jacy Pulse (women’s 400m hurdles). The remaining three athletes earned a trip for the first time in their careers: North Dakota’s Luke Labatte (men’s 3,000m steeplechase), North Dakota State’s Lexi Maples (women’s hammer) and South Dakota’s Joe Lynch (men’s high jump).

Baseball - May 25

Golden Eagles rack up 22nd #SummitBSB Championship title

Championship MVP Drew Stahl homered twice to lead third-seeded Oral Roberts to an 11-4 victory over fourth-seeded Northern Colorado in the #SummitBSB Championship title game at J.L. Johnson Stadium. The Golden Eagles won their third straight tournament title and 22nd overall, while the Bears advanced to the title game in their first Summit League postseason appearance.

Outdoor Track & Field - June 5

Top-10 finishes highlight NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

South Dakota fifth-year senior Marshall Faurot and senior Eerik Haamer tied for eighth place in the men's pole vault at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The duo both garner first team All-America recognition after the pair finished with a final height of 17-07.25 (5.37m).
