Women’s Tennis - April 25

Denver caps Summit League era with 71 consecutive victories, captures 12th straight #SummitWTEN title

Since joining the Summit League in 2014, Denver went unbeaten in league play for 71 consecutive matches. The Pioneers also secured their 12th straight Summit League title during the historic run.

Men’s Tennis - April 25

Denver secures seventh straight #SummitMTEN regular season title, third consecutive tournament crown

Denver men’s tennis continued its dominant Summit League stretch by capturing its seventh consecutive regular season title and third straight tournament championship. The Pioneers carried that momentum into the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 75 nationally after spending five consecutive weeks in the ITA team poll.

Softball - April 25

Omaha captures second straight #SummitSB regular season title outright

Omaha secured back-to-back Summit League regular season titles after posting a 15-2 conference record to win the award outright.

Women’s Golf - April 28

South Dakota State captures first #SummitWGF team title in program history

South Dakota State’s McKenzie Mages claimed medalist honors, becoming the first Jackrabbit to win the Summit League Championship since 2021. The Jackrabbits also captured their first team title in program history after finishing runner-up a year ago, defeating six-time defending champion Denver by six strokes. The Jacks became just the fourth different program in League history to win the team title.

North Dakota State garners first #SummitMGF title since 2018

North Dakota State claimed its first team title since 2018, winning the tournament by six strokes over runner-up Denver. The Bison were the only team to finish under par, posting a 5-under total under first-year head coach Ekren Miller.

Oral Roberts’ Gustav Liljeberg wins #SummitMGF individual title in playoff

Oral Roberts’ Gustav Liljeberg captured the individual title, winning a four-man playoff with an eagle on the decisive hole to earn an individual berth to the NCAA Corvallis Regional.

Softball - May 9 & 16

South Dakota claims first #SummitSB Tournament title, earns NCAA win in Lincoln Regional

South Dakota secured its first Summit League Tournament title in program history to earn a berth in the Lincoln Regional and its first NCAA Tournament appearance. The Coyotes went on to defeat Louisville 2-1 for the program’s first NCAA Tournament victory and became the first No. 4 seed to win the Summit League Tournament since Western Illinois in 2008.

Oral Roberts takes home 22nd #SummitBSB regular season title, earns No. 1 seed in tournament

Oral Roberts captured the Summit League regular season championship and will enter the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed after going 22-6 in league play. The Golden Eagles secured their 22nd regular season title and second straight crown, while head coach Ryan Folmar was named Coach of the Year after becoming the Summit League’s all-time wins leader with eight regular season championships and seven tournament titles.

North Dakota State women claims 17th #SummitWOTF title

NDSU captured its 17th Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championship, while North Dakota swept the Track and Field Championship MVP honors for the second straight season. Jadyn Keeler earned Track MVP honors with three wins and a runner-up finish for 38 points, while fellow Fighting Hawk Justina Esangbedo was named Field MVP.

Four women’s records fall at the #SummitOTF Championship

Four Summit League records were broken at the Championship with NDSU’s Paige Renschler setting new league marks in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, and North Dakota’s Keeler rewriting the record book in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 10,000-meter run.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field - May 16

North Dakota State men earn 16th #SummitMOTF championship in 18 years

North Dakota State returned to the top of the team standings, capturing its 16th Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the last 18 years. The Bison were led by Field Championship MVP Kaden Pastian, who scored 23 points after winning the hammer throw, placing second in the shot put, and finishing fourth in the discus.

Three men’s Summit League records were broken at the #SummitOTF Championship

Three Summit League records were broken on the men’s side at the Championship. North Dakota State’s Zach McGlynn shattered a 34-year-old decathlon record with 7,922 points, Kansas City’s Tory Lanham broke his own league mark in the 200-meter dash with a 20.34 in the prelims, and South Dakota State’s Ethan Fischer set a new discus record with a 197-09 foot throw.

North Dakota State’s McGlynn and Olson qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships

North Dakota State’s Zach McGlynn and Paul Olson are headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Decathlon. In the decathlon, the top 24 athletes in the nation qualify directly through to the NCAA Championships. For the first time in North Dakota State’s Division I history, the Bison will send two decathletes to Oregon with Zach McGlynn qualifying at No. 5 and Paul Olson at No. 24.

Baseball - May 23

South Dakota State wins #SummitBSB Championship, defeats Oral Roberts twice

South Dakota State captured the Summit League Championship title after defeating Oral Roberts 9-6 for the second time in the tournament. The Jackrabbits’ opening-round win over ORU marked their first postseason victory over the Golden Eagles in 20 tries.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field - May 28

South Dakota’s Caelan Harland qualifies for NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships

The first Coyote to punch a ticket to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship was Caelan Harland in the men's pole vault. The Coyote freshman was one of the top performers on the day. Harland technically finished the competition in second place with a clearance of 17-11 ¼ (5.47m). In total, five athletes cleared that bar and two others passed it but were positioned high enough to advance.

Women’s Outdoor Track & Field - May 28

Three tickets punched during second day of NCAA West Preliminary

North Dakota's Jadyn Keeler and South Dakota's Anna Willis, and Marleen Mülla punched their tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Championships to headline the second day of competition amongst Summit League athletes. Keeler garnered her ticket to Eugene after finishing third in the 10k with a time of 32:11.14. She will be competing in the 10k for the second year in a row. Mülla and Willis cleared 14-6 ¼ (4.43m) in the Women’s pole vault competition to advance to the NCAA meet. The Coyote duo earned first team All-American honors during indoor season.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field - May 29

ORU’s Wenger, KC’s Lanham, and UND’s Fanucchi punch tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship

Kansas City’s Tory Lanham, North Dakota’s Louis-Lys Fanucchi, and Oral Robert’s Jordan Wenger highlighted the third day of the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds for Summit League athletes. Lanham punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in the 200-meter while clocking the eighth-fastest time (20.54) at the meet. Fanucchi punched his ticket in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a personal best time of 8:33.56. Wenger cleared 7-2.5 (2.20m) in the high jump to finish tied for fourth and qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship. 

Women’s Outdoor Track and Field - May 30

UND’s Keeler qualifies for NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 5k

North Dakota’s Jadyn Keeler clocked a 5k time of 15:26.87 to finish fourth in her heat and fifth overall, which also marked a new school record, a new personal best and her second berth to the NCAA Championship meet.

Three #SummitOTF Athletes garner All-American honors

Three Summit League student-athletes garnered All-American honors at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships. The South Dakota duo of Marleen Mülla and Anna Willis both cleared 14-4.75” in the pole vault with Mülla earning second team All-American honors and Willis continuing on to clear 15-2.75" to earn first team All-America honors. North Dakota’s Jadyn Keeler took sixth in the 10,000m to earn first team All-American honors and 12th in the 5000m to earn second team All-American honors.

Men’s Outdoor Track and Field - June 10-12

Six #SummitOTF Athletes garner All-American honors

Six Summit League student-athletes garnered All-American honors during the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Oral Robert's Jordan Wenger brought home first team All-American honors after clearing a career best 7-4.5" to finish fourth in the high jump.  North Dakota State's Zach McGlynn, Kansas City's Tory Lanham, South Dakota's Caelan Harland and North Dakota's Louis-Lys Fanucchi brought home second team All-American honors, while North Dakota State's Paul Olson finished with honorable mention All-American honors.
