SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City forward Elie Kisoka and Oral Roberts goalkeeper Joao Mesquita earned the latest Summit League Men’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week awards, league officials announced Monday. Both players collected their second weekly awards of the season with Kisoka garnering the offensive accolade and Mesquita repeating as the defensive honoree.

Kisoka and the high-scoring Roos outscored their opponents 7-0 in wins over Tulsa and St. Thomas this week. The Marseilles, France native assisted on one of the four goals in the win over the Golden Hurricane, then added an assist and the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win at St. Thomas to open league play.

Kisoka leads all league players with 18 points and now shares the league lead with seven goals and three game-winners in his first season with the Roos. Kansas City is tied for third among Division I programs with 25 total goals and is tied for eighth nationally with 2.5 goals per game.

With six wins on the season, the Roos have already exceded their win total of four from a season ago.

Mesquita racked up his second consecutive honor after making four saves in a 1-0 victory over Omaha. His final save came late in the match when he dove to his right to stop a potential game-tying penalty kick from the Mavericks in the 84^th minute.

The Sao Paulo, Brazil native earned his third shutout of the season and second in as many matches as the Golden Eagles improved to 4-2-3 on the season and 1-0-0 in league play.
