UND’s Barber and NDSU’s Blohm earn the Kwik Star #SummitVB weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota outside hitter Paige Barber and North Dakota State middle blocker Arianna Blohm were named the latest Summit League Kwik Star Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. Barber claimed her second offensive honor in the past three weeks, while Blohm nabbed her first defensive award.
 
Barber garnered 37 total kills, 15 digs, and posted .429 hitting percentage during the Fighting Hawks’ third weekend of conference play. The Brecksville, Ohio native hit .235 from the floor and put away 13 kills and nine digs in a three-set loss to Denver.
 
The Fighting Hawk senior then registered 24 kills, seven digs, and three blocks in a four-set win over Oral Roberts while garnering a .611 hitting percentage.
 
Blohm totaled 19 kills and 10 blocks across two matches for the Bison. The Stewartville, Minn., native had nine kills and four blocks in a five-set victory over Oral Roberts.

The NDSU junior then earned 10 kills along with six blocks, while registering a .714 hitting clip in a sweep of the Pioneers that improved the Bison to 5-0 in conference play.
