SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State swimmers David Bosch and Gigi Hioki along with Omaha divers Owen Kipp and Ava Johnson garnered the latest Summit League Kwik Star Swimming and Diving Peak Performer of the Week accolades following the second week of the season, League officials released Tuesday.
This week’s men’s honors mark the first career award for Bosch and fourth career accolade for Kipp. On the women’s side, Hioki collected her third career honor, while Johnson earned the first of her career.
Bosch swept the breaststroke events at the Augustan Dual, while Hioki won a pair of freestyle races for the Jackrabbits.
Kipp and Johnson were both victorious in the 3-meter competitions, helping lead the Mavericks to victories against Iowa Western and the College of Saint Mary.
MEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
David Bosch, South Dakota State

- Swept the breaststroke events, placing first in the 50-yard (26.25 second) and 100-yard (58.07 seconds) at the Augustana Dual
- Swam a leg in the 400 medley relay as the Jacks placed first with a time of 3:24.17
- Collected his first career weekly award

MEN’S PEAK DIVER OF THE WEEK
Owen Kipp, Omaha

- Set a personal best in the 3M dive with a score of 353.40 against Iowa Western
- Propelled the Mavericks to a 209-79 victory over the Reivers
- Collected his fourth career weekly award

WOMEN’S PEAK SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Gigi Hioki, South Dakota State
Jr. | Free | Honolulu, Hawaii
- Posted victories in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events at the Augustana Dual
- Swam the final leg of the 400 medley relay (3:58.41) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.07) to secure first-place finishes for SDSU
- Collected her third career weekly award

WOMEN’S PEAK DIVER OF THE WEEK
Ava Johnson, Omaha

- Earned first-place honors in the 3M dive with a score of 222.90 at the dual with Iowa Western and College of Saint Mary
- Helped the Mavs defeat Iowa Western (234-36) and College of Saint Mary (235-51)
- Collected her first career weekly award
