SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Southern Indiana duo of Jerrin Dale and Lane Pollock and the Denver duo of Samantha Synsvoll and Savanna Berry collected the latest Summit League Kwik Star Swimming and Diving Peak Performer of the Week awards, League officials released Tuesday. Dale and Pollock grabbed the men’s swimmer and diver honors, respectively, while Synsvoll and Berry earned the women’s swimmer and diver awards, respectively.
This week’s men’s awards mark the first career honor for Dale and the fourth for Pollock. On the women’s side, Synsvoll garnered the first weekly accolade of her career, while Berry secured the fourth of her career and second consecutive.
A record-breaking performance from Dale in the 100 breaststroke (56.50) propelled the Screaming Eagles to a 172-126 win over Evansville on Saturday. The freshman also claimed first place in the 200 breaststroke. Teammate Pollock added to the success with a first-place finish in the one-meter dive and a runner-up showing in the three-meter event.
Synsvoll captured her first win of the season in the 200 free at the Colorado Mesa dual, marking her third event victory in Denver’s last three meets. Teammate Berry contributed to the strong showing on the diving boards, winning the one-meter event (263.80) and placing third in the three-meter (249.90).
