SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas defender Simon Klevberg and Delaware forward Marius Stenner claimed the latest Kwik Star Summit League Men’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week accolades, league officials announced Tuesday. Klevberg earned his first career defensive award, while Stenner racked up his league-high fourth offensive honor of the season.
Klevberg helped the Tommies post a pair of victories, including a 2-1 home win over Oral Roberts as pulled level at 1-1 in the Summit League standings. The Baerum, Norway native scored his first collegiate goal to a cap St. Thomas’ rally in the program’s first win over the Golden Eagles.
He played all 180 minutes on the St. Thomas back line as the Tommies improved to 6-2-3 on the campaign.
Stenner helped the Blue Hens remain unbeaten on the season as he recorded his third brace of the campaign in a 3-1 victory over Lehigh. He scored the opening and closing goals for a UD squad that improved to 9-0-1 on the campaign.
The Svendborg, Denmark native currently ranks second among Division I players with 11 goals on the season.
