Summit League among Top 10 in NCAA Graduation Success Rate

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League's Graduation Success Rate has ranked among the top half of all Division I conferences for the sixth straight year and was among the top 10 for the second consecutive in the latest report released by the NCAA on Wednesday. The League's membership combined for a 92 percent GSR during the 2024-25 academic year, which tied for eighth among the NCAA’s 32 Division I conferences.

The information, which is part of the annual NCAA Academic Performance Program, also showed that the Summit League has recorded a 90 percent or better GSR for all sports for another four-year stretch.

There were 50 Summit League teams that recorded a 100 percent GSR for the 2024-25 academic year with Denver leading the way with nine of those teams. South Dakota was second among League members with six. Both Denver and South Dakota were among the eight women's golf teams to achieve a 100 percent GSR, which once again led all of the League's sponsored sports.

"Our teams continue to excel in the classroom, and that’s a direct reflection of our student-athletes’ commitment to success in all aspects of their campus experience," said Commissioner Josh Fenton. "Their academic accomplishments consistently position the Summit League among the nation’s best in these reports each year."

In the sport of baseball, the Summit League shared the top spot among conferences with a 98 percent GSR, joining the Ivy League and American Conference with that percentage.

In the sport of women's basketball, the Summit League was tied for fifth among conferences with a GSR rate of 95 percent. Summit League women's basketball is also one of 11 conferences to boast a 100 percent GSR at least once over the past four years.
