SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League officials released their league-only schedules Wednesday for the upcoming 2026 spring sports' season that includes men's and women's tennis, softball and baseball.
For the first time since transition to the Division I level, the St. Thomas softball and baseball programs will be eligible for postseason play and both are also set to host the Summit League Championship in their respective sports for the first time after capturing co-regular season titles in 2025.
2026 Women’s Tennis Schedule
The six-match women's tennis league schedule will kick off on February 28 and will run through April 18 with the #SummitTEN Women's Championship being held April 24-25 in Tulsa. Teams will play each other once during the league campaign. Denver, who has won 11 straight regular season and tournament titles, will open its season at St. Thomas on Feb. 28.
2026 Men’s Tennis Schedule
The five-match men's tennis league schedule will begin on March 4 and will run through April 19 with the #SummitTEN Men's Championship also being held April 24-25 in Tulsa. Teams will play each other once during the league campaign. Denver, who has won the last two regular season and tournament titles, will open its league season at home on April 3 against Illinois State.
2026 Softball Schedule
The Summit League softball schedule will be played over the course of seven weekends beginning with the weekend of March 20-22. The seven teams will play at least one league opponent for seven consecutive weekends until the conclusion of the season on Sunday, May 3. The #SummitSB Championship will be held May 6-9 in Minneapolis, Minn., after St. Thomas earned that right thanks to holding a 2-1 edge in the regular season against fellow co-regular season champion Omaha. The Tommies will open the league-portion of its schedule at Kansas City on March 20, while the Mavericks will open against North Dakota State.
2026 Baseball Schedule
The Summit League baseball schedule will be comprised of 10, three-game series beginning the weekend of March 13-15. The League's six teams will play the remaining five programs once with each team also having four designated teams to play twice during the season until its conclusion on Saturday, May 16. The #SummitBSB Championship will be held May 20-23 in Minneapolis, Minn., after the Tommies secured the program's second straight regular season title in 2025, sharing that title with Oral Roberts. St. Thomas won the head-to-head series with the Golden Eagles 4-2 a season ago, earning the right to host. ORU's regular season title was the program's 21st.
