SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha forward Italo Jenkins and UMass defender Quinn Belt earned the 10th Summit League Men’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week honors of the season, the league announced Tuesday. Jenkins claimed the offensive honor for the second time this season while Belt earned his first defensive nod.
Jenkins scored two goals on senior day to help Omaha secure its highest ranked win in program history over No. 5 Kansas City. The second goal helped set the new school record for goals in a single season with 10. It is his second offensive Peak Performer nod.
Belt finished the regular season on a high note, notching his first career goal and captaining a defensive unit that allowed just four shots on goal in the Minutemen's 4-1 victory over Delaware. The honor is his first of the season
