SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The only thing for certain heading into the final week of the regular season is North Dakota State will be the No. 1 seed in Sioux Falls after the Bison wrapped up the outright title this past Saturday.
The remaining eight seeds are to be determined with plenty of intriguing matchups lined up for the stretch run to March.
With its first regular season title secured since 2020, the Bison still have two tough tests to close things out at St. Thomas and vs. North Dakota. Those two teams along with Omaha are still vying for the No. 2 seed with the Mavericks facing South Dakota on CBSSN to get the week started Wednesday before facing the Tommies Saturday in a game that could ultimately decide who is right behind NDSU on the seed lines.
The Fighting Hawks have just their road tilt in Fargo on the docket this week and have already posted a five-game turnaround from a season ago.
Denver has won five of six to move into the top half of the standings and have already secured the program’s highest seed since the Pioneers were the No. 3 seed in 2018. The Pioneers will get to watch everything unfold Saturday after finishing off its regular season slate Thursday at Oral Roberts.
After their tilt with the Mavericks Wednesday, South Dakota will remain home Saturday to face in-state rival South Dakota State. The Coyotes could finish anywhere from the 4-7 seeds, while the Jackrabbits are in play for seeds 5-7. SDSU opens its week on the road Thursday at Kansas City.
The Roos and Golden Eagles will wrap up their campaigns Saturday in what will be a preview of next Wednesday night’s first-round game in Sioux Falls.

AROUND THE LEAGUE
• North Dakota State secured the outright regular season title Saturday thanks to a road win over Kansas City and Denver’s home win over St. Thomas. The title is the fifth in program history and first outright since 2014 (2009, 2014, 2015, 2020).
• Sophomores Andy Stefanowicz and Treysen Anderson each posted their second double-doubles of the season in NDSU’s title-clinching 95-59 win over Kansas City. Stefanowicz scored 13 points to go with a career-high 11 assists, while Treyson Anderson added 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
• The Bison will be the No. 1 seed in Sioux Falls and close out their regular season against the two teams right behind them in the standings. NDSU plays Thursday at St. Thomas and Saturday at home vs. in-state rival North Dakota.
• The Tommies have back-to-back home games to wrap up the 2026 Summit slate. After the tilt vs. the Bison, UST will play host to Omaha.
• St. Thomas dropped its lone matchup last week, falling 82-80 at Denver with redshirt freshman Nick Janowski leading six Tommies in double figures with 19 points. He ranks second among SL scorers in league play with a 19.6 ppg.
• At 10-4 in league play, the Tommies could finish as the No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4 seed. Saturday’s tilt with Omaha could decide the No. 2 seed.
• The Mavericks took care of Oral Roberts on Senior Night with an 80-71 victory Wednesday in their only action last week. Ja’Sean Glover matched his career-high with 26 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor in his final home game at Baxtern Arena.
• Omaha will defend its tournament title in Sioux Falls as either the No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4 seed.
• UND has a chance to flip its Summit record from 2024-25 when the Fighting Hawks finished 5-11 and were the No. 6 seed. A win over the Bison Saturday would secure an 11-5 finish and a top three seed.
• The Fighting Hawks split a pair of games last week to fall to third in the league standings, defeating Kansas City 85-70 at home and dropping an 91-83 decision at SDSU.
• Redshirt freshman Greyson Uelmen led UND in scoring in both of those games with 23 vs. the Roos and 19 vs. the Jacks. He is averaging 19.1 ppg -- fourth in conference play -- and now has racked up six of his seven 20-plus point games this season against Summit foes.
• Janowski (UST) and Uelmen (UND) are two of the top 12 freshman scorers in Division I this season. Janowski is 10th with 491 points, while Uelmen (UND) is 12th with 482. The ACC, SEC and Big 12 also have two rookies inside the top 12.
• SDSU moved into a tie for sixth with the win over UND that saw the Jacks close out the game on an 8-0 run to break an 83-83 deadlock.
• Senior Mathew Mors matched his season-high with 18 points in both Jackrabbit games last week.
• The Jacks close out their regular season with back-to-back road games at Kansas City and South Dakota.
• Denver won back-to-back home games and will finish with a .500 or better record in league play for the first time since 2017-18. First-year head coach Tim Bergstraser has the Pioneers at 8-7 and his squad will be the No. 4, No. 5 or No. 6 seed in Sioux Falls. DU closes the regular season Thursday at ORU.
• Sophomore Carson Johnson averaged 28.5 ppg in those two wins and paces all Division I sophomores in scoring with 603 points in his first season at that level of play. The Minnesota State-Moorhead transfer tops all Summit players with a 22.5 ppg clip against league foes.
• Julius Rollins erupted for a career-high 26 points off the bench in DU’s Senior Night win over the Tommies. He finished 9-for-12 from the field and 5-for-8 from beyond the arc, which included the go-ahead make with just over eight seconds to play. Rollins had combined for 32 points in DU’s previous seven games.
• While Johnson is pacing all DI sophomores in scoring, another Summit League hooper is right behind him. St. Thomas’ Nolan Minessale is second with 577 points.
• Oral Roberts’ picked up its second league win behind Ty Harper’s career-high 29 points. The Golden Eagles outlasted South Dakota to post a 67-62 win.
• ORU has a home game vs. Denver and road game at Kansas City to close out the regular season. The Golden Eagles will play the Roos in the 8-9 game to open the Summit League Men’s Championship.
• The Coyotes close out their regular season with back-to-back home games, including a Wednesday tilt vs. Omaha on CBSSN. Saturday’s regular season finale vs. SDSU.
• Senior Cameron Fens continued his double-double run, putting up two more against Denver and Oral Roberts last week to bring his season total to a league-high 12 -- mark that is tied for 20th among DI players. He now has a double-double in five straight games.
• Kansas City has back-to-back home games vs. SDSU and ORU this week. The Roos, who are mired in a 12-game losing skid, fell on the road at UND and NDSU last week.
• Trey Booker-Lowery paced KC with a career-high 21 off the bench at UND. It was his first double-digit scoring effort since having 10 in the season opener at Southern Illinois.
