SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Thirteen Summit League student-athletes—seven men and six women—were named to the 2026 Tennis Academic All-Summit League teams, league officials announced Tuesday. Honorees were selected based on their academic and athletic performances during the 2026 season.
Nine of the 13 recipients earned Academic All-League honors for the first time in their careers.
Oral Roberts’ Ricardo Filho earned his third consecutive Academic All-League honor to lead the field while the Men’s Scholar of the Championship, Tomas Valencia, claimed his second consecutive Academic All-League honor.
Joining Valencia in earning their second career academic accolades were Denver’s Louise Wikander and St. Thomas’ Caroline Lindahl.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale, have completed at least one full academic year at their current institution and have participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s competitions.
Nominations are submitted by sports information directors from Summit League institutions that sponsor tennis, with voting conducted by SIDs and faculty athletics representatives (FARs). The team consists of the six student-athletes receiving the most votes, with all ties included.
