SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League officials unveiled the 2026-27 championship schedule, featuring postseason competition across six member campuses in addition to championship events hosted by the League in Iowa City, Iowa, Mesa, Ariz., and Sioux Falls, S.D.
The championship calendar opens with the cross country championships on Oct. 31, hosted by St. Thomas. The 2026-27 slate concludes May 26-29 as Oral Roberts will host the baseball championship.
The fall championship schedule continues with both the men's and women's soccer championships featuring quarterfinal matches on either Nov. 6 or 7 before advancing to the semifinal and championship rounds on either Nov. 11 and 14 or Nov. 12 and 15. Host sites for both championships will be determined following the conclusion of the regular season.
Next, the volleyball championship heads to Brookings, S.D. for the second straight season, where South Dakota State will serve as host Nov. 22-24.
The swimming and diving championships will once again be held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium on the campus of the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, Feb. 24-27. The indoor track and field championships will overlap with the final two days of the swimming and diving championships as North Dakota State hosts the meet Feb. 26-27 in Fargo, N.D.
The men's and women's basketball championships return to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls for the 12th time. The 2027 championships will feature all eight members and span four days, beginning March 4 and wrapping up with the men's and women's championship games on March 7.
The women's tennis championship date and host site will be announced at a later date, while the men's and women's golf championships return to Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. for the third consecutive season. The women's championship is scheduled for April 25-27 and the men's championship set for May 2-4.
Omaha will host the softball championship May 12-15, while North Dakota welcomes the outdoor track and field championships May 13-15. The spring championship season concludes with the baseball championship at Oral Roberts from May 26-29.
