SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Delaware striker Frederik Flaskager and Kansas City defender Bryson Gosch earned the fourth Summit League Men’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week honors of the season, the league announced Tuesday. Flaskager claimed the offensive honor while Gosch earned the defensive nod.
Flaskager made his second and third career starts, played 156 minutes and recorded three goals in the Fightin' Blue Hens' 1-0-1 week. He scored a first-half brace to open the game in Delaware's 3-0 win over Loyola (Md). Flaskager then netted his fourth goal in the Hens' last three games when he scored in UD's 2-2 draw with Mount St. Mary's.
Gosch played all 180 minutes in UMKC’s two victories last week, starting with a 1-0 shutout victory at Drake on Monday. Then, against No. 10 Michigan State, he delivered an assist on the third and final goal while holding one of the highest-scoring offenses nationally to one goal.
