SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City defender Mark Ramarola and Massachusetts goalkeeper Dean Linden earned the third Summit League Men’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week honors of the season, the league announced Tuesday. Ramarola claimed the offensive honor, while Linden earned the defensive nod.
Ramarola scored the equalizer in the 90th minute against No. 3/3 SMU, marking the first goal of his career. The sophomore defender recorded three shots in the match, putting two on frame.
The France native finished the week with four points and his game-tying goal ranks tied for seventh among Summit League players in total points through the first three weeks of the season.
Linden turned in a standout performance in Massachusetts’ 1-0 victory over UMass Lowell, making four saves while facing 11 shots. The sophomore goalkeeper made several diving stops throughout the match, including a perfectly read penalty kick in the 49th minute. The Massachusetts native secured his first clean sheet of the season and the fourth of his career.
