SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State shortstop Bennett Hostetler and Oral Roberts righthander Isaac Coffey garnered the first #SummitBSB weekly awards following the opening weekend of the college baseball season, Summit League officials announced Tuesday.
 
Hostetler claimed the second Player of the Week award of his career after leading the Bison to a series win at Western Kentucky. NDSU’s senior captain went 4-for-8 with four runs, four RBI and also added five walks and a hit-by-pitch to post a .714 on-base percentage in the three games.

Hostetler opened the series with a 2-for-2 effort at the plate and drove in NDSU’s first run of the season with a first-inning double. He added an RBI-triple in the third.
 
In NDSU’s first win of the season in game two, which also gave head coach Tod Brown his 300^th-career victory for the Bison, Hostetler reached base four times, stole a base and scored twice in the 8-5 triumph. In the series-clinching 10-2 win in the finale, the Bozeman, Mont., native went 2-for-5 with run-scoring hits in the first and sixth innings.

Coffey earned the first Pitcher of the Week award of his career after a near flawless outing in ORU’s 7-3 victory over Little Rock. The sophomore tossed six shutout innings, allowing only a two-out single in the fifth inning while striking out seven Trojans.

The Gileta, Calif., native had multiple strikeouts in the second, third and fifth innings en route to his third career victory.
