SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha outfielder Chris Espoito and South Dakota State righthander Adam Mazur  collected the latest #SummitBSB weekly awards after standout performances, Summit League officials announced Tuesday.

Espoito went 9-for-17 at the plate with three home runs and 11 RBI as Omaha split a four-game set at Mizzou. He opened the series a pair of hits and three RBI in game one. In the 17-11 victory over the Tigers in game two, the Mavericks’ rightfielder belted two home runs and drove in a career-high seven runs. He finished 3-for-5 at the plate and also added a walk.

Esposito hit his third home run of the series in game three and, in Sunday’s series finale that salvage a split against the Southeastern Conference foe, the Overland Park, Kan., native once again went 3-for-5 with a triple and a run scored.

Mazur and Brett Mogen combined on a three-hit, seven-inning shutout in game one of the Jacks’ four-game series sweep at Northern Colorado. The righthander fanned a career-high 12 in six innings of work, allowing only a trio singles.
 
The Woodbury, Minn., native struck out eight consecutive Bears from the start of the third inning through two batters in the fifth before allowing his first hit of the contest. He got out a first-and-third, one-out jam in the sixth by striking out the final two batters he faced.
