SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts outfielder Blake Hall and Western Illinois righthander Brett Sears garnered the latest #SummitBSB Player of the Week honors, league officials announced Monday.
Hall earned the second weekly honor of his career after batting .444 and scoring five runs in the Golden Eagles’ series split with North Dakota State. Hall scored the game-winning run during game two of the series, then logged season-highs in hits and runs with three a piece in the finale vs. the Bison.
Sears tossed the first complete-game shutout of his career, blanking South Dakota State in game two of a doubleheader after the Jackrabbits scored 10 in the opening game.
Sears allowed just three hits and struck out three in seven innings of work as he picked up his second win of the season.
