SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City women’s tennis athlete Yana Grechkina was named this week’s Summit League Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week finishing the weekend undefeated.
 
In the Roo’s nail-biting 4-3 loss to Missouri State, Grechkina gave the Roos momentum from the start and teamed up with Michela Xibilia to defeat Missouri State 6-4 at the top spot in the doubles line up. She carried that energy into singles competition and overcome the Bear’s Hana Sisirak at the No. 1 court, 7-6  (7-4), 6-3. Grechkina was one of two Roos to win both her double and single competitions against Missouri State.
