SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts’ Caleb Denny and Omaha’s Mark Timmins earned the latest #SummitBSB weekly honors, league officials announced Monday.
In the 2-1 series win against North Dakota State, Denny went 7-for-10 at the plate and drew four walks while recording multiple-hits and scoring multiple-runs in each of the three games. The Golden Eagles moved to the top spot in the league standings thanks to their two wins over NDSU.
He added an extra-base hit and RBI in each game against the Bison, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four runs scored in game one, 2-for-4 with two runs and a double in game two, and 2-for-2 with a double and two runs in the series-clinching win.
Timmins tossed the first nine-inning complete game for Omaha since 2018 in game three of the Mavericks’ series with BYU. The righthander allowed four hits, an earned run and struck out four Cougars as Omaha finished off a sweep of the West Coast Conference team.
The victory was the third of the season for Timmins, whose outing was the longest of his career.
