SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha designated hitter Eduardo Rosario and Oral Roberts righthander Matt Gaskins claimed the latest #SummitBSB weekly honors, league officials announced Monday. Both weekly accolades are a first for Rosario and Gaskins.

Rosario had multiple hits during each tilt of Omaha’s three-game sweep of Western Illinois to extend his hitting streak to a season-best six games.

In the opener, he went 2-for-4 with a two-run single. In the middle game of the series, the sophomore had the first three-hit game of his Maverick career that included a double and two runs scored. He capped the series with three more hits, including his first home run in an Omaha uniform as the Mavericks won a slugfest, 15-13.

Gaskins tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and walking zero in a combined shutout to finish off a four-game sweep of the Jackrabbits for ORU. It matched the longest outing of his season as he fanned a career-high nine after returning to the mound for the first time since April 11.
