SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League tennis season is here and Denver’s Daniel Krulig claimed the season’s first TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week honor, league officials released Tuesday. Krulig helped the Pioneers to a 4-3 win over Rice to start the 2022 season 1-0.
With the score tied 3-3 with one match left to play, Krulig gutted out a three-set win (7-6, 6-7, 6-2) on the No. 6 court to clinch the final single point. His victory gave the Pioneers their first win of head coach Drew Eberly’s tenure and improved his career to 14-5.
