Three returning honorees highlight 2022 #SummitWSOC Academic All-League Team

League announced Women’s Soccer Academic All-League team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three repeat honorees highlighted the 2022 Summit League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team announced by league officials on Wednesday. There was a total of 12 student-athletes named to the squad that was voted on by the membership's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.
 
Denver's Kaitlyn Glover earned her third All-League honor, while teammate Sami Feller and  South Dakota State's Jocelyn Tanner garnered the award for the second time in their careers. Along with Feller and Tanner, North Dakota's Julia Briggs, Omaha's Grace Thede and South Dakota State's Hailee Fischer all owned perfect 4.00 grade-point averages.
 
The Mavericks trio of Thede, Emilie Erland and Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen, who recently was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, represented Omaha. South Dakota State's Tanner, Laney Murdzek and Kaycee Manding, who also earned CSC Academic All-District honors, were named to the Academic All-League team with Murdzek and Manding garnering their first Academic All-League accolades.

Oral Roberts' Samantha Guzman was named to the academic all-league list for the first time in her career and rounding out the selections was St. Thomas' Audrey Vidmar.

To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions. 
 
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's 10 institutions that carry women's soccer.  The #SummitWSOC academic all-league team is made up of the 11 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
