SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League officially announced the 2022 Most Outstanding Performers of the Championship and the 101 All-League team members Tuesday. South Dakota’s Sara Reifenrath earned the Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship for the women while Western Illinois’ Ackeen Colley garnered the honor on the men’s side.
 
South Dakota’s Sara Reifenrath, the 2021 Outdoor Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship, claimed the indoor honor for the 2022 season. For the second consecutive year and third-straight league championship, she swept the women’s 200m, 400m and ran the anchor leg of the winning 4x400m relay.
 
She won the 200m in a meet record time of 23.52 and took the 400m in a time of 53.70. Her anchor on the relay team led to a championship meet record time of 3:42.90.
 
Colley became the first student-athlete to earn back-to-back Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship honors for the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Friday night he earned a spot in the finals of the 800m after clocking a new meet record time of 1:48.41. He then ran the opening leg of the distance medley relay team that took third place in a time of 10:10.85.
 
During the finals on Saturday, he defended his league title in the 800m taking gold in a time of 1:48.83. Colley then closed out the championship as a member of the 4x400m relay team that took fourth overall with a time of 3:16.71.
 
The Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship is determined by a vote of the participating head coaches and is based upon the student-athletes’ performance during the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
To receive the All-League accolade a student-athlete must finish in the top three in an event category at the league championship meet.
