Bison, Coyote named TicketSmarter #SummitITF weekly award winners

North Dakota State, South Dakota represented in weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State and South Dakota were represented this week in the TicketSmarter Summit League Indoor Track and Field Peak Performer weekly awards, League officials released Tuesday. North Dakota State’s Jacob Rodin and Jarod White were named the honorees on the men’s side while NDSU’s Terezia Bolibruch and South Dakota’s Marleen Mülla were selected for the women. It was the third consecutive honor for both Rodin and Mülla.

Rodin’s senior campaign has been highlighted with broken records and this past weekend was no exception. At the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt, the Kenmare, N.D., native lowered his own school indoor 800-meter record for the second week in a row. He crossed the finish line in 1:48.21 for fourth place. His time ranks 34th in the NCAA and sits him atop the League in the 800m this season.

He also ran a leg of the 4x400m relay that clocked a time of 3:12.56 to finish third in the event. The relay team’s third-place time makes the squad the sixth-fastest in NDSU indoor history.

Teammate Jarod White won the pole vault at the SDSU Indoor Classic. He cleared a height of 17-00.75 (5.20m) to win the event and is now tied for fourth-best in NDSU indoor history. His winning clearance ranks him among the top 60 in the NCAA this season.

NDSU’s Terezia Bolibruch won the 60m hurdles at the Music City Challenge. She clocked a personal-best time of 8.33, the second-fastest time in NDSU history behind only All-American Deborah John. Her winning time leads the League and ranks 60th nationally.

Mülla claimed her third-consecutive weekly honor after winning the pole vault invitational at the Tyson Invitational. She cleared a height of 14-04.5 (4.38m) to take gold in a field of thirteen athletes.
