SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts second baseman Mac McCroskey and starter Jakob Hall the first TicketSmarter Summit League Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively, following the opening weekend of the college baseball season, Summit League officials announced Monday.
 
McCroskey opened the season by belting a trio of home runs and driving in six during ORU’s 16-2 win over Northern Illinois. He equaled the single-game program record for long balls.

He added his second straight three-hit outing in game two and also swiped a pair of bases. The Springdale, Ark., native hit safely in all four games during the series sweep of the Huskies, going 8-for-18 at the plate.

Hall earned the win in ORU’s season-opener, firing a career-high six innings, which were the most among League hurlers during the opening weekend. He allowed one earned run and equaled his career-high with six strikeouts, while scattering six hits against the Huskies.
