SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha third basemen Mike Boeve and Oral Roberts pitcher Brooks Fowler earned the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Baseball Peak Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, League officials announced Monday.
 
Boeve is back to his slugging prowess, as the junior All-League member batted .667 (8-for-12) with seven RBI and scored eight runs. The Hastings, Neb., native also registered a pair of doubles and didn’t strike out once in four games. Boeve walked six times and increased his batting average to .487, which ranks second in the League.

In the finale against BYU, Boeve produced a pair of hits and drove in three RBI in which the Mavericks won by a 16-4 final.
 
Fowler tossed seven innings of one-run baseball and struck out six against Stephen F. Austin en route to his second win of the season. The Jenks, Okla., native’s seven innings marked a career high for the sophomore hurler and he retired 17 of the final 18 batters he faced.
