ORU’s McMurray, NDSU’s Dunlap, Feeney collect TicketSmarter #SummitBSB weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts first basemen Jake McMurray and North Dakota State infielder James Dunlap along with Bison pitcher Cede Feeney earned the latest TicketSmarter Summit League baseball weekly honors, League officials announced Monday. McMurray and Dunlap shared the Peak Performer of the Week accolade, while Feeney was named the Peak Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.
 
McMurray, who was also named one of 15 Collegiate Baseball National Players of the Week, put together quite the weekend for the Golden Eagles. The senior first baseman belted four home runs and seven RBI while hitting .538 overall in a home series sweep of South Dakota State. The Tulsa, Okla., native recorded his first career multi-home run performance in the series opening 5-3 victory over the Jackrabbits. McMurray also stole his first base of the season and went 2-for-3 effort at the dish, while recording his 100th career RBI.
 
In ORU's 10-3 triumph in game two, the senior first baseman added two RBI and two more hits while walking once. In the series finale, McMurray homered two more times and led all players with a 3-for-5 effort at the plate. McMurray logged his third straight multi-hit performance of the weekend in what was his 125th consecutive start. 
 
Dunlap helped power the Bison to a 4-0 record on the week, including a series sweep of Western Illinois. The junior infielder finished the four-game stretch with a .563 batting average, a 1.125 slugging percentage and a .526 on-base percentage.

The Tulsa, Okla., native hit a pair of home runs, had four extra-base hits and finished with 12 RBI. Dunlap began his week by helping NDSU defeat Minnesota where he had an RBI sacrifice fly and walked once in the 10-3 victory over the Gophers.
 
Dunlap went batted .750 in the series sweep of the Leathernecks, opening things up by tying his season-high with four hits and driving in three in a 10-0 win.

In game two of the series, Dunlap went 2-for-3 with a double, his first career triple and two RBI in a 13-3 run-rule win. In the series finale, Dunlap led the way with more three hits, including a pair of two-run homers in a seven-run fifth inning. He finished with a career-high five RBI to go along with three runs and his second stolen base of the series.

Feeney picked up his third weekly pitching honor in the last six weeks after helping the Bison to a 10-0 win in its home opener vs. Western Illinois. The junior hurler scattered five hits and delivered 7.2 scoreless frames to go with five strikeouts.

Feeney limited the Leathernecks to a .172 batting average and it marked his eighth game this season with five or more strikeouts.
