SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Drake’s Oliver Johansson and Denver’s Louise Wikander collected the TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s and Women’s Peak Performers of the Week honors, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Johansson notched a combined 5-0 record over the weekend with a pair of singles wins and a trio of doubles wins for the Bulldogs’ 3-0 week. The Gothenburg, Sweden native teamed with Matija Matic for two doubles win in the No. 1 slot against Washburn and Northern Illinois as well as a win in the No. 2 spot vs. William Woods.
Johansson won 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot against NIU to clinch the match and 6-4, 6-3 triumph over William Woods.
Wikander won all four of her singles and doubles matches in the Pioneers’ first two duals of the season where they came out on top. The Helsingborg, Sweden native didn’t drop a single point against Air Force, winning 6-0 at the No. 2 doubles spot with partner Caroline Driscoll and then posted a double bagel at No. 4 singles.
Against Colorado State, Wikander and Driscoll collected a 6-2 win against Colorado State after moving to No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
