SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Impressive performances during the final weekend before the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships earned North Dakota State, Oral Roberts and South Dakota the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Indoor Track and Field Peak Performer honors. Oral Roberts’ Abraham Chelangam and South Dakota’s Joe Lynch claimed the honor on the men’s side while North Dakota State’s Salmata Korgho and USD’s Marleen Mülla took the awards for the women.

At the Arkansas Qualifier, ORU’s redshirt freshman Chelangam posted the second-fastest 3,000m time in school history. He crossed the finish line in eight minutes and 8.87 seconds to secure third overall in the event.

South Dakota’s Joe Lynch narrowly missed a shot at the 7-foot club in the high jump at the Nebraska Tune-Up. The junior tied his personal best of 6-11 (2.11m) for second place in the event. His clearance leads the League this season.

At the UND Tune-Up, North Dakota State junior Salmata Korgho clocked a career-best 8.33 in the 60m hurdles to win the event. Her winning time moved her up to the third-fastest performance in NDSU history and ranks No. 62 in the NCAA this season.

Coyote junior pole vaulter Mülla cleared the fourth-best height in the nation at the Nebraska Tune-Up. She won the event with a clearance of 14-07.25 (4.45m). Her clearance presumably secured her a ticket to the NCAA Indoor Championships.
