UND’s Yasin, Jansson sweep TicketSmarter #SummitTEN weekly awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.North Dakota sophomore Jerall Yasin and fifth-year senior Andrea Jansson swept the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s and Women’s Peak Performers of the Week accolades, league officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Yasin had a pair of wins in the 4-3 victory over Omaha. He secured the doubles point with a 7-5 triumph at the No. 2 position and extended the lead to 3-0 with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph at the No. 6 court. The Fighting Hawks are off to a 2-1 start to league play.
 
Jansson went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend to help UND grab a pair of 7-0 wins over UMary and Omaha. The Gothenburg, Sweden native opened it up with a 6-3 win at the No. 1 doubles spot to cap off a perfect start against UMary before closing out the 7-0 victory with a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 win from the No. 2 court in singles.
 
Against Omaha, Jansson began doubles with a 6-2 win from the top spot. She provided the clinch with a 7-6, 6-3 triumph at the second court. Jansson has helped North Dakota rattle off three wins over its last four matches, all by 7-0 scores.
